American Eagle Standard Kukri
An over ambitious, overrated name American Eagle is given to denote the specialty of the knife as a signifier of one of the worlds most respected and feared predators that is also the symbol of freedom to Americans and others. The Bald Eagle found in the US land is the influential factor for the name and look of this kukri because of the eagles supremacy, amazement, ferocity and more importantly its use as an icon of the worlds most powerful word FREEDOM. The notch (kaura or kaudi) in the blade near the hilt of most khukuris serves as conduit for the blood on the blade to drip out, thus preventing it from soiling the hilt, as well as a device for catching and neutralizing and enemy blade.
