This is 13.5 Inch Gurkha Army Kukri(GAK). It's a beast of a blade, very comfortable and manouverable - its good balance works in its favour. The handle looks big, but here too, the nice oval shape and curves ensures that it fits smallish hands well without feeling that it's going to go flying from your hands when you swing it.
As you'd expect from a blade of this size and weight, it chops with a very convincing enthusiasm. I've just done a little bit of light chopping work with it so far and am very happy with it. And since it's not too thick in the spine, it also does an admirable job slicing through light underbrush, etc. – stuff you’d think would be the prerogative for lighter, skinnier blades, on the blade there is marked name of that kukri blade maker and also E.G.K.H trademake.
Both the Karda and Chakmak are large & solidly made - used the Karda for light work and the Chakmak for sharpening this and other kukris, both do their jobs well. The scabbard is top quality construction - older model so the tinder pocket, etc. in the back are nailed instead of stitched as in recent models.
